February – so many shows

Always a busy month for Open shows, I’m glad to get a weekend off now! Isle of Ely was Floki’s (Daisy’s son owned by my sister) very first show. He was very well behaved if a little enthusiastic and Deb handled him to a nice 3rd place in Junior. He’s a very handsome and clever boy and I’m thrilled with him.

The following weekend was Yorkshire Collie Club’s Open Show, this was Remi’s (Ása and Hope’s brother, owned by Beth) first show and again he was very well behaved even though it was all very exciting for him. He was third in his class and I was very pleased with how he is maturing – another very handsome boy! Ása was Best Puppy in Breed and went on to win Best Puppy in Show, she’s starting to get the hang of things!

Then a busy weekend with AVNSC at Newark Open, Hope was Reserve in a large puppy class even when she decided to bounce like Tigger! Daisy has her first outing for a couple of months and was second in her Open class. On the Sunday, we braved the storms to go to St Helen’s Open. This was a very long day because Ása was Best Puppy in Breed and Daisy Best of Breed, nothing in either group and a long, dark, wet & windy drive home but I was well chuffed with my girls. Time for a break before the big two Champ shows next month – British Collie and Crufts!
